Weekend review
Good drive up on Friday with RJ to the house -
roused at 3:30 am by the pooch NEEDING to go outside to investigate...soaked in the hot tub while waiting on said pooch...slept late'ish (9) and did stuff around the house (cleaning, laundry, transfer station, spa filter, etc.).
Drove to Nyack for our concert, the unofficial kickoff to Rockland County Pride (which was held on Sunday) at a church there - very good concert...got a little weepy during some of the songs (musn't do that at Carnegie on Saturday)...drove back with Gerry & made strawberry shortcake for us 3 - with lots of whipped cream for Rowan to lick from our fingers.
Slept reasonably late Sunday, made a huge country breakfast (including cheezy grits - mmm)...got sunburned canoeing with Gerry & Rowan...fished Rowan out of the water when he decided to test it out...chased him through the woods when he got loose because I was worried he'd go after an adorable fawn that was lying right in the middle of our path, where it's mama had left it...got Rowan to behave & then did more house cleaning & lunch...went back to the City & at outside at Bandito's and drooled at the hot Puerto Rican papis out in force for PR Heritage Day (several sizzlingly hot ones walked by - each one yummier than the next, making me remember to renew my membership in the Latino Fan Club)...went to bed very early so as to be rested for the busy week.
All in all a pretty swell weekend!
